BlackBerry Storm 3 specifications leaked?

Can list the specifications below actually belongs to the BlackBerry Storm 3? Maybe or maybe not, but you may want to check them out before you come to a conclusion. Without much further ado, they are: camera: 5MP, 2592 x 1944 pixels or 8 MP, 3264 x 2448 pixels, fixed focus, dual-STAGE flashMemory: 8 or 16 GB of storage with optional expandable to 32 GB, 512 MB or 1 GHz RAM 1 GB ROMDisplay: 3.7-inch AMOLED Capacitive touchscreen, 16 M colorsGPRS: 32Optical trackpadRingtones class: MP3, WAV, MP3/WAV ringtonesMP3:/eAAC +/WMA player, MP4/h.264/WMV, h.263/playerBluetooth: Yes, v3.0 with A2DP3G: HSDPA, 10.2 Mbps HSUPA, 2. MbpsAdd-Wikipedia, the ons: Wi-Fi, USB, GPS, OS, VideoWeight: Standard battery, Li-ion 1200 mAh (BL-4 D) Talktime: up to 432 h (2 G) or up to 480 h (3 G) Standby: up to 9 h (2 G) or up to 5 h (3 G)

Using Blackberry primarily enterprises and näringsliv-centric devices, it is quite difficult to imagine RIM cramming in a 8-megapixel camera with 5-megapixel at a BlackBerry can be considered overkill. Take the above with a bathtub of salt.

BlackBerry Storm 3 Leaked-Geeky Gadgets

This week we have already seen two new Blackberry smartphones leaked, BlackBerry Dakota and BlackBerry Curve 2, now is the new BlackBerry Storm 3 luck.

The guys over at BGR have again received some leaked images and specifications for the new BlackBerry Storm 3, and it looks like it will come with a 3.7 inch Capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.

Other features of the new BlackBerry Storm 3 includes a 1.2 GHz processor, a five megapixel camera can record HD video in 720 p, 8 GB of storage space and 512 MB of RAM.

BlackBerry Storm 3 also comes with a microSD card slot, a proximity sensor, accelerometer, magnetometer, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, WiFi, and can also be used as a 3 G mobile hotspot.

There are no details on pricing yet but it looks like it can launch sometime in September of this year.

BlackBerry Storm 3 shows up again, tracing for September launch ...

by Chris Ziegler, posted Jan 14th 2010 12: PM RIM's mythical BlackBerry Storm 3 one of the products that show up a few months with just enough new information, you have to believe that it is real and it eventually will, before slithering back into the night, the entire radio-quiet for another month or two. We have no doubt that the phone is real at this point, but given the cool reception Storm 2 received, we are surprised RIM does not have pushed harder to get updated device to market--only thing we can count on is that the carrier partners keep sending it back for tweaks. Speaking of tweaks, BGR says we can expect a phone with a 1.2 GHz processor (same as the alleged Torch 2) together with a 3.7 WVGA display, 5 megapixel camera, dual-band WiFi with UMA support, mobile hotspot capability and BlackBerry OS 6.1. Word has it there will be at least two versions released in the world--code-named Monaca and Monza--and it is on track for September release. It is a good thing, if those specifications are not going to blow anyone away as we approach Q4 ' 11.

Research in Motion has a leak they need to plug. Just a day after the first specs and images of the new BlackBerry Dakota hit the Internet comes an even more impressive reveal for the third-generation BlackBerry Storm.

The BlackBerry Storm 3 appears to be a 3.7-inch touchscreen device with an 800 x 480 resolution, which is the highest resolution for any BlackBerry ever. The Storm 3 will boast a 1.2GHz processor matching the BlackBerry Torch’s supposed speed, as well as a 5MP camera capable of 720p video, 8GB of storage 512MB of RAM and personal hotspot functionality, a la the Verizon iPhone. Storage is expandable thanks to a microSD slot, and inside, you’ll find 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, a magnetometer, a proximity sensor, an accelerometer and a 1230mAh battery.

Those are some pretty impressive specs for the latest model in a series of devices that RIM had strongly been rumored to be killing off. Unfortunately, as good as those specs are, it’s the BlackBerry software that still really isn’t ready for multitouch, and since the Storm 3 is slated to use BlackBerry OS 6.1 instead of QNX, the Storm 3 might end up disappointing just as much as its predecessors.
