share this storyGet Technology AlertsEmailComments20 Just a few days after a photo of the rumored BlackBerry Dakota was leaked, Boy Genius Report has scored details on another BlackBerry smartphone that is allegedly in the works: the Storm 3.
In addition to posting several leaked pictures of the BlackBerry Storm 3, Boy Genius Report shared (unofficial) product specs. The Storm 3, which will reportedly be released around September, "will feature the highest resolution display to ever ship on a BlackBerry smartphone -- a 800 x 480-pixel display and yes, it will have an optical trackpad," writes BGR.
It will also have a 3G mobile hotspot, 5-megapixel camera, and 512 MB of RAM, according to the site's scoop.
BlackBerry's Storm hasn't been well received in the past. Venture Beat calls it "kind of a bust" and Engadget writes, 'We've no doubt that the phone is real at this point, but considering the lukewarm reception the Storm 2 got, we're surprised RIM hasn't pushed harder to get the updated device to market -- only thing we can figure is that the carrier partners keep sending it back for tweaks."
See a picture of what is allegedly the Storm 3 below, then visit BGR for more details.

Five years ago, this was actually the conventional thinking on ANY kind of cell phone.
Unless required by your employer, NO ONE needed a cell phone.
Then the phone companies marketing machines went into gear, and now a cell phone is a "must have item" for all the sheeple out there.
It seems as though people "love the convenience of a cell phone" when in reality they are tying themselves to their phone even more than if they had a landline.
People have to become less reliant on technology of all kinds, not more reliant. Human kind is now more vulnerable than at any time in our history due to our dependance on electronic gadgets. mpasmith: Winedude wrote "Unless you work for a company that mandates http://www.huffingtonpost.com/social/mpasmith/blackberry-storm-3-specs-_n_809252_74070315.html Permalink | Share it Ylmaz Kaba 1 hour ago (11:31 AM) 2 Fans http://cs-turkey.blogcu.com

I had one for many years, courtesy of my employer. When my job was eliminated in March 2009 (the exact day of the low point in the stock market) I had to go back out on my own. I decided that I wanted the Blackberry Storm. While it did have its quirks, like needing to pull the battery at least 4 time/week, it was a decent device. When it failed me in October 2010, I got me a Motorola Droid 2. I LOVE this phone. It is so much better than anything RIMM has to offer that it's absurd. Friends with assorted Droid phones say the same thing. Comparing a Blackberry to either the Droids or iPhone puts the Blackberry is a distant third place. HUFFPOST SUPER USER Muzzle Me 12 hours ago (12:23 AM) 203 Fans I don't consider myself technologically challenged but I will admit I don't own a cell phone that can utilize apps, BUT seriously, folks actually post on their Facebook page (now, that's a whole other topic for me) telling their nearest and dearest of 100's that they just left a restaurant or bought a coffee, etc. etc.?? I mean, they actually stop and take the time to post that drivel in their lives? Sorry, I just don't get it. BlackBerry claims to be the standard for business users, yet they have only ONE phone that has a full touch screen and physical keyboard.
If BlackBerry had copied the Palm Pre's design as well as one of the landscape slideout phones, I'd be able to justify staying with them.
